Fifty programs are represented on the OCCAC All-Academic Team for Spring '25 with all nine conference institutions receiving recognition.
For the second year in a row, Cuyahoga Community College has been crowned the OCCAC’s top athletics program as the All-Sports Award winners.
It’s a long scroll to get through the entire list (below) of OCCAC All-Academic Team members for the past semester.
Five conference institutions are represented in the 2024 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) annual volleyball awards, including an unprecedented three-way tie for Coach of the Year honors.
Edison State Volleyball is riding an 8-match winning streak with postseason play set to begin next week. Sophomore outside hitter Brooklyn Bourne played a large role in four victories over the last week (Oct. 21-28) and earned OCCAC Player of the Week recognition.
Edison State setter Emma Luedeke dished out 90 assists (11.25/set) during two league wins last week. Her efforts were recognized in the form of OCCAC Player of the Week honors. In addition to steering the Charger offense, she also dug 18 balls and registered an ace in both contests.
Michaela Hahn and the Owens Volleyball earned a 4-set win over Edison State to keep pace with Lorain County atop the conference standings at 6-1. Hahn dished out 29 assists in the victory, surpassing the 1,000 career assists mark in the process. The Express setter added 16 digs and five points (3 aces, 2 kills) during her OCCAC Player of the Week performance.
Isabella Beck kept the good times rolling for Lorain County Volleyball, earning her second OCCAC Player of the Week award and snagging the fifth such accolade in six weeks for the program.
For the fourth time through five weeks of the 2024 OCCAC Volleyball season, the league’s Player of the Week honor is headed to Lorain County. Gabriella Habeck became the third different Commodore to earn the recognition after her stellar performance during a pair of conference triumphs over Lakeland and Edison State.
Ava Haddix dished out 63 assists in two matches for Lorain County, including 32 helpers in a road sweep over OCCAC foe Lakeland.
Sophomore Lindsey Koenig pushed Owens to three league victories last week (Sept. 2-8), snagging the fourth OCCAC Player of the Week honor of her career after doing so three times as a freshman. She contributed 4.5 points and 2.3 digs per set.
Isabella Beck racked up 52 digs and 25 kills across four matches for Lorain County, earning OCCAC Player of the Week honors.
Ava Haddix added 13 points to her 24 assists as Lorain County opened the 2024 campaign with a 3-0 conference sweep over Hocking.
