  • Ruffin & Settles Pick Up Weekly Distinction

    A pair of six-rotation freshman outside hitters earned OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week recognition for Sept. 9-15 when Annayia Ruffin (Cuyahoga) and Tyriana Settles (Owens) were announced as the D-II and D-III recipients, respectively, on Monday (Sept. 16). Settles picks up her second weekly accolade of the young season.

    Columbus State and Sinclair representatives earned OCCAC Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. Elizabeth Nicole Sicking repeats as the D-II winner while Cougar libero Tate Rybarczyk brings home D-III accolades.

    Elizabeth Nicole Sicking (Sinclair) and Bobby Diamond (Columbus State) were named the OCCAC Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 3), both adding to their plentiful collection of conference weekly awards corralled as freshmen in 2018.
  • New Season, Same Prestigious Weekly Awards!

    The 2019 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference volleyball season began with a two-day appetizer of competition over the weekend of Aug. 23-24. Two OCCAC student-athletes, Whitney Pleiman (Edison State) and Tyriana Settles (Owens), stood out above the rest and were bestowed the league’s first Player of the Week adulation for ’19.
