Columbus State's Ruffing Earns Second OCCAC Player of the Week Honor
Columbus, Ohio---Stephanie Ruffing, a sophomore outside hitter for Columbus State Community College, has been named the OCCAC volleyball player of the week for the second time this season.

Columbus, Ohio---Stephanie Ruffing, a sophomore outside hitter for Columbus State Community College, has been named the OCCAC volleyball player of the week for the second time this season.
Ruffing, who previously won the award Sept. 14, currently ranks first nationally in kills per set with 5.43 and first nationally in hitting percentage at .564.
Ths past week, she led her team to three wins in conference play - all in straight sets. On Oct. 8, she had 14 kills, 10 digs and one block vs Edison. On Oct. 10, she had 22 kills and 10 digs vs Lakeland. Then, on Oct. 11, she had 17 kills, 16 digs and one block vs Lakeland.
"Stephanie consistently performs at a high level," said Columbus State head women's volleyball coach Jaclynn Yocum. "Her stats speak volumes and exemplify the type of athlete she is. She has very high personal expectations demonstrated through the maturity and awareness she brings to the court."
Ruffing and No. 11 Columbus State are currently 21-0 overall and 10-0 in OCCAC play. They are scheduled to take on Sinclair Community College today at home.
