Cincinnati, Ohio---Sophomore Brad Schluter of Cincinnati State has been named the OCCAC men's soccer player of the week.

A defender from Centerville, Ohio, Schluter led Cincinnati State to a 1-1 record against No. 15 Schoolcraft College and No. 17 Owens Community College last week.

"Brad has been a very reliable player for us," said Cincinnati State head men's soccer coach Mike Combs. "He has grown into a great leader for our young team."

After losing 2-0 to Schoolcraft on the road, the co-captain rallied his team to a 3-1 win over Owens on Sunday. He scored the game-winnin goal in the 60th minute off a converted penalty kick.

The goal marked his second clutch goal of the season after he delivered a game-tying 40 yard strike in the 82nd minute of a 4-3 overtime win over Muskegon.

Schluter and No. 13 Cincinnati State are 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the OCCAC.
