Cincinnati, OH---The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named Cincinnati State's Ryan Hall this week's "National Goalkeeper of the Week."

Hall turned in back-to-back shutout performances in games Saturday (Sept. 28) against Lakeland Community College and Sunday (Sept. 29) against Cuyahoga Community College.

The freshman keeper turned away nine shots combined over the weekend, earning his second and third shutout performances of the season.

Hall is the first Cincinnati State goalkeeper to earn the national honor.

"It is a great accomplishment for Ryan and says a lot about our defensive unit as a whole," said Cincinnati State Head Coach Mike Combs. "Ryan has worked extremely hard and deserves this honor."

Last year, while playing for Summit Country Day high school, Hall set the Ohio High School Athletic Association record for shutout victories.

Cincinnati State is currently ranked No. 8 in the NJCAA national poll with a 9-1-2 overall record. The men's team hosts Muskegon Community College this Saturday (Oct. 5) at 2 p.m. at the Walnut Hills High School field.
