Walker, Martin Win Season's First Two OCCAC Player of the Week Awards in Men's Soccer
Cincinnati State's Kevin Walker and Owens Community College's Jake Martin have captured the season's first two OCCAC Player of the Week awards.

Cincinnati State's Kevin Walker and Owens Community College's Jake Martin have captured the season's first two OCCAC Player of the Week awards.
Walker, who won the award for the week of Aug. 25, currently has four goals and five assists this year. The sophomore is tied for second in the OCCAC in goals scored and is first in assists.
In OCCAC play, Walker led his team to back-to-back wins to open the season against Lakeland and Cuyahoga. In those two games, he produced four goals and three assists, including three goals and one assist in a 10-0 win over Lakeland on Aug. 24.
Walker and the No. 7 Surge are currently 2-0-1 overall and 2-0 in the OCCAC. They have two road games this weekend, at Ancilla on Saturday and at Jackson on Sunday.
Martin, meanwhile, led his team to a 4-3 win in double overtime at Jackson. The sophomore scored his team's first goal, as well as the game winner. He currently has three goals and one assist this year for No. 18 Owens, who are currently 4-1 overall. Their next game is Sept. 11 at home vs Lakeland. It is their OCCAC opener.
