Cincinnati State's Gumbert Named NJCAA D-I Player of the Week
Cincinnati, OH---Tyler Gumbert, who was named OCCAC Player of the Week on Monday, was named the NJCAA D-I Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Cincinnati, OH---Tyler Gumbert, who was named OCCAC Player of the Week on Monday, was named the NJCAA D-I Player of the Week on Wednesday.
On Oct. 20, Gumbert helped lead his team to a share of the OCCAC championship in a 4-1 win over Owens Community College by producing one goal and one assist.
Then, in a 10-0 win over Ohio-Midwestern College on Oct. 21, Gumbert had two goals and two assists.
Overall, he had three goals and three assists for the Surge (13-5-1 overall) during the week. His season stats include eight goals and six assists.
He becomes the second player from the OCCAC to capture NJCAA POW honors. Juavanie Cole of Owens CC won it a few weeks ago.
Gumbert and his teammates open Region XII tournament play against Ancilla College today at 5 p.m. The quarterfinal matchup will be held at Xavier University.
