Cincinnati, OH---Tyler Gumbert, a freshman forward for the Cincinnati State men's soccer team, has been named the OCCAC Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21.

On Oct. 20, Gumbert helped lead his team to a share of the OCCAC championship in a 4-1 win over Owens Community College by producing one goal and one assist.

Then, in a 10-0 win over Ohio-Midwestern College on Oct. 21, Gumbert had two goals and two assists.

Overall, he had three goals and three assists for the Surge (13-5-1 overall).

Gumbert and his teammates open Region XII tournament play against Ancilla College on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The quarterfinal matchup will be held at Xavier University.
