Adkins leads Surge golf to second place finish at IU East's "Battle at Bloomington"

Playing in Thursday's "Battle at Bloomington" Tournament hosted by Indiana University - East, the Cincinnati State golf team finished second with a team score of 308.

Leading the way for the Surge was freshman Blake Adkins, who finished second in individual competition with a 73. Austin Kyle finished with a 77 on the afternoon. Evan Bryan followed Kyle with a 78. Matt "Chappy" Nickoson & Taylor Suggs finished with a pair of 80s.

Brescia University (KY) won the tournament by 12 strokes with a overall team score of 296. Brescia's Chase Carrico finished with a tournament low 71.
