Early Lead For Pearl River Community College Seals Fate For Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs

Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-4 loss to Pearl River Community College on Friday.  Pearl River Community College took the lead on a home run in the second inning.

The Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Pearl River Community College, giving up ten runs.

Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs fired up the offense in the first inning.  Alex Diaz drove in one when Diaz singled.

Pearl River Community College scored four runs in the fourth inning.  Pearl River Community College batters contributing to the big inning included Gabe Broades and Tate Parker, who all drove in runs.

Sam Hill was credited with the victory for Pearl River Community College. The pitcher surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out four and walking one.  A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Harper Jordan, Blake Hooks, Mason Smith, and Dawson Strong all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Trace Goforth took the loss for Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs. The pitcher allowed three hits and five runs over three innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Pearl River Community College socked three home runs on the day. Preston Soper put one out in the second inning. Parker had a dinger in the fourth inning. Ian Montz went for the long ball in the third inning.

Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs collected seven hits.  Hunter Odom and Diaz each had multiple hits for Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs.  Diaz and Odom all had two hits to lead Coastal Alabama South Community College Sun Chiefs.

John Griffin Bell went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Pearl River Community College in hits.
