The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) has announced postseason awards for baseball and softball.
Baseball
Lakeland Community College, who split the regular season OCCAC title with Cuyahoga Community College, swept the major awards in baseball as Will Shortreed was named Player of the Year, Brandon Easton was named Pitcher of the Year and Howie Krausewas named Pitcher of the Year.
The All-OCCAC team in baseball includes: Matt Wheeler, Lakeland Community College; Tony Connacher, Lakeland Community College; Will Shortreed, Lakeland Community College; Brandon Easton, Lakeland Community College; Mason Wisner, Lakeland Community College; Adam Urbania, Cuyahoga Community College; Cody Miller, Cuyahoga Community College; Rey Carrion, Cuyahoga Community College; Mark Rauschenbach, Cuyahoga Community College; Jon Lowe, Sinclair Community College; Scott Haag, Sinclair Community College; AJ Kruzel, Sinclair Community College; Logan Shullick, Owens Community College; and Nate Manis, Owens Community College
Softball
Cuyahoga Community College's head coach Bryan
Komlos was named OCCAC Coach of the Year in softball
after leading his team to an outright OCCAC championship.
Meanwhile, Owens Community College, who finished one game back of
Cuyahoga, had OCCAC Player of the Year Melanie
Iacoangeli and OCCAC Pitcher of the
Year Katie Turski.
