Jayden Kuhlman, a freshman forward for Owens Men’s Soccer, racked up five goals last week — earning OCCAC Player of the Week honors. He scored at least one goal in all three matches, including a hat trick in the 6-4 road win at Muskegon.
His third goal against the Jayhawks proved to be the game-winner, pushing the Express ahead for good at 5-4 in the back-and-forth battle. Kuhlman stayed hot in a trip to Lakeland, finding the back of the net for the opening goal of a 2-1 league triumph. The scoring kept coming in Match #3 of the week, yet another road trip for Owens that sent them to Lake Michigan. It was a 3-1 setback, but Kuhlman was once again the goal-scorer for his squad.
In total, he registered five goals on seven shots for the week.
