OCCAC Announces Postseason Softball Awards

Springfield, Ohio---Racquel Ward, a sophomore RHP/1B from Cuyahoga Community College, won the OCCAC's top individual honors in the OCCAC as the conference announced its postseason awards.

Ward was named the OCCAC player and pitcher of the year, while Cuyahoga's head coach Bryan Komlos was named the OCCAC coach of the year. 

Cuyahoga finished the regular season 28-10 overall, including an 8-0 record against Sinclair and Lakeland. Against conference opponents, Ward went 7-0 with one save and three complete games. In 37 innings, she struck out 36 and posted a 0.95 ERA. Offensively, she batted .583 with nine runs, one double, one home run, eight RBI, seven walks and one stolen base.
