Lorain County Cross Country Earns Academic Excellence Recognition

Seven members of the Lorain County Community College varsity cross country teams earned Scholar All American status through the NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association for their academic success during the Fall 2017 semester. Congratulations to the following for earning this honor with GPA's (grade-point-averages) of 3.4 or higher: 

Gabrielle Post (Avon Lake/Avon Lake) 
Heather Wigton (Amherst/Steele)
Claire Bickley Avon/Avon)
Emily Biltz (Sheffield Lake/Brookside)
Micah Swartz (Lakewood/Lakewood)
Phillip Miranda (Lagrange, OH)
Jacob Kelley (Amherst/Steele)

In addition, both the men's and women's cross country teams earned Scholar All American Team recognition for overall team grade point averages of 3.2 or higher. 

The women's team placed 5th in the nation at the NJCAA D-III national meet in the fall; the highest finish in LCCC history.
