| Sinclair CC Takes The OCCAC Top Honor |
|
Sinclair Community College win the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference's 2007-2008 All-Sport Trophy. The OCCAC All-Sports Trophy is based on each school's average finish in each of the seven OCCAC sanctioned sports. To be eligible, a school must play at least three of the seven conference sports, with at least one sport being a women's sport. 1st Place in a sport is awarded 10 points with one point subtracted from 10 for each place below 1st. A schools average is determined by totaling their points in each sport, then dividing the total by the number of sports the school sponsors. Sinclair CC finished in 1st place in both Men's and Women's Basketball. They added to there point total by finishing 2nd in Baseball and 3rd in Volleyball.

Owens Community College are the 2008 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference softball champions. The Express lost only one conference game this season. They finished with a 11-1 record.

| Mila OCCAC Baseball Player of the Week |
Owens Community College's, Vasilious Mila , is the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week. Mila was 5-5 with a homerun, double and 4 RBIs in a win against Clark State Community College. In the second win of the doubleheader Mila had a 4 RBI grand slam.
Congratulations to Vasilious Mila the OCCAC Baseball Player of the Week.

| Darie Muncy OCCAC Softball Player of the Week |
Clark State Community College's, Darcie Muncy, is the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week. Muncy batted .545 with 1RBI and 4 strikeouts in 6 innings pitched.
Congratulations to Darcie Muncy the OCCAC Softball Player of the Week.

| Owens OCCAC Baseball Champions |
Owens Community College, Toledo OH, won three out of four of their weekend Ohio Community College Athletic Conference baseball games to finish at the top of the conference standings. The Express ended their conference baseball season 12-2. Sinclair Community College took a doubleheader from Lakeland Community College to come in second at 10-4.

| Big Baseball Weekend |
Starting today the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference's 2nd place baseball team, Lakeland Community College, starts their season's biggest road trip. The Lakers are 7-3 in OCCAC baseball just a doubleheader behind conference leading Owens Community College (9-1).
The Lakers travel to Dayton, OH to play a doubleheader against 3rd place Sinclair Community College (8-4) starting at 1pm today. Lakeland then travels up to Toledo, Ohio to take on 1st place Owens Community College.
This weekends doubleheaders will go a long way toward determining the final conference standings, so let's PLAY BALL!

| Smith OCCAC Golfer of the Week |
The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference coaches have voted for Jason Smith of Owens Community College for the OCCAC Golfer of the Week. Smith received the honor for his play last weekend at the Lorain Community College and Lakeland Community College Golf Tournaments.
Smith shot 69 at Elyria Country Club including a hole-in-one. On Friday, he shot 67 at the Quail Hollow/ Weiskopf Course.

| Jarvis OCCAC Softball Player of the Week |
The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference is please to announce the selection of Erica Jarvis from Lakeland Community College as the Softball Player of the Week for the week ending April 21.
Jarvis played errorless centerfield in conference games last week. At the plate she was 16 for 32 with 12 runs scored. She belted 12 RBIs with 2 doubles, a triple and 2 homeruns.
Congratulations to Erica Jarvis this weeks OCCAC Softball Player of the Week!

| Ritson Baseball Player of the Week |
Owens Community College 3rd baseman, Austin Ritson, is the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference baseball player of the week for the week ending April 21.
Ritson went 7 for 9 in conference games last week with a double, 2 triples and a homerun. He drove in eight runs with his hitting spree, helping Owens to a 9-1 conference leading record.
We congratulate Austin Ritson as the OCCAC Player of the Week!
