Men's Basketball
Sinclair's Price notches 100 win in win over University of Pennsylvania JV
Sinclair Community College head men's basketball coach Jeff Price picked up his 100th win at Sinclair on Tuesday night at the famed Palestra in Philadelphia as the Tartan Pride defeated the University of Pennsylvania JV 79-58. Sophomore forward Jason Clardy scored a game high 18 points. Congratulations to Coach Price on his milestone.

Columbus State holds on the number four spot again this week
The Columbus State Community College men's basketball team held on the number four spot in this week's NJCAA Division II men's basketball rankings. The Cougars are 8-0 on the season and are led by Josh Eichelberger who averages 14.8 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game, while Rod Hurst averages 13.2 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. Marcus Britt averages 12.6 points per game. Anthony Williams averages 6.8 rebounds per game, while Lawrence Bridges averages 6.4 rebounds per game.

Owens moves up one spot to number seven this week
The Owens Community College women's basketball team moved up one spot in this week's NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll to number seven. The Express, who are 9-2 on the season, are led by Jasmine Blanton who averages 17 points per season. Brittany Darling averages 13.8 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game, while Sarah Clark averages 12.0 points per game and 10.4 rebound per game. Cincinnati State Technical & Community College is in the others receiving votes catagory again this week. The Surge are 5-3 on the season and are led by Shardai Morrison Fountain with 20.8 points per game, while Tamara Sneed averages 15.0 points per game and 95. rebounds per game. Na'Tasha Farr averages 12.1 points per game and 7.9 reboudns per game, while Javonna Saddler averages 11.2 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game. Edison Community College is also in the others receiving votes catagory again this week. The Chargers are 8-1 on the season and are led by Andrea Meyer with 12.7 points per game. Rachel Striebich average is 12.1 per game and 12.5 points per game, while Jodi Benanzer averages 11.3 points per game. Ashley Rice averages 9.0 rebounds per game. Lakeland Community College at 9-2 on the season is also in the others receiving votes catagory this week. The Lakers are led by Aslea Williams, who averages 19.2 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game, while SirShawna Dowdy averages 17.8 points per game. Danielle Lewis averages 16.8 points per game. Sinclair Community College rounds out the OCCAC teams in the others receiving votes this week. The Tartan Pride are 7-2 on the season and led by Emily Frey, who averages 13.6 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game, while Chelcie Gullett averages 11.7 points per game.

Sinclair men's basketball team serves Thanksgiving dinner
Tuesday the 24th of November, the Sinclair Community College Men’s Basketball Team handed out Turkey and Dressing instead of Dunks and Assist. Before heading home for the Thanksgiving break, members of the Sinclair Community College Men’s Basketball team spent time at the Dayton Boy’s & Girls Club serving a hot Thanksgiving Dinner to all in attendance. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.  Since 1930, the vision of the Boys & Girls Clubs has grown and changed with the needs of our children and so will the dynamics of our programs and services.  The Boys & Girls Club of Dayton provides some 1,000 youth in the Greater Dayton area with a safe and positive place to learn and grow. You can make a difference in the lives of thousands of Dayton children!  We are committed to providing a safe haven for children and teens during non-school hours and offering them high-quality youth development programming.  Please join in on the promise we have made to our Club members.  Every dollar you give increases the number of positive opportunities available to the youth of Dayton, opportunities that will help them to become the most productive, responsible, caring citizens they can be.

Zumberger named Second Team All-Amercian
Columbus State Community College sophomore libero Morgan Zumberger has been named a NJCAA Division II Volleyball Second Team All-American. Zumberger helped lead the Cougars to a seventh place finish at the NJCAA Division II Volleyball National Tournament. She averaged 0.34 aces per game and 4.78 digs per set for the season.

The Owens Community College women's basketball team held onto the number eight ranking for the second straight week in the NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Poll. The Express (7-2) are led by Jasmine Blanton with 16.3 points per game, while Brittany Darling has 13.9 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. Sarah Clark averages 16.3 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. Cincinnati State Technical & Community College is in the other receiving votes catagory this week. The Surge are 4-3 for the season and are led by Shardai Morrison-Fountain averages 22.1 points per game, whil Tamara Sneed averages 13.0 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. Na'Tahsa Farr averages 12.4 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game, while Javonna Saddler has 7.7 rebounds per game. Lakeland Community College is also in the other receiving votes catagory this week. The Lakers are 7-2 and led by Aslea Williams with 19.3 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game, while SirShawna Dowdy averages 17.8 points per game. Danielle Lewis averages 16.8 ponts per game.
